To check the React Device's battery life, perform a Health Check by pressing and holding the side button, then tapping the main button once. The React Mobile logo will flash colors indicating battery level: green for over 40%, yellow for 20-40%, and red for under 20%. Battery lasts about 10 hours under normal use. Network coverage is shown by flashing green for Wi-Fi and blue for LTE, with flashes indicating signal strength.

In this article, you will learn how to check the battery life from the React Device.

You will need to perform a 'Health Check' on the React Device, which will allow you to confirm its current battery life. For more information on a health check, please consult the article Performing a Device Health Check with the React Device.

Steps for Health Checking the React Device:

Press and hold the side (function) button and immediately tap the main (primary) button once, then quickly release both.

Once a health check is initiated, the backlit React Mobile logo is going to flash two series of colors to indicate different health metrics:

Phase 1 - Battery Level

  • Battery level is indicated by the LED light, which will flash once:
    • GREEN - more than 40% charge.
    • YELLOW - more than 20% but less than 40% charge.
    • RED - less than 20% charge.
  • The battery lasts approximately 10 hours under normal usage. Repeatedly triggering alerts for test purposes and/or storing the devices in areas with low LTE/Wi-Fi coverage will drain the battery quicker.

Phase 2 - Network Coverage

  • FLASHING GREEN – The device is connected to Wi-Fi (1 to 4 flashes depending on Signal Strength).
  • FLASHING BLUE – The device is connected to LTE/Cellular (1 to 4 flashes depending on Signal Strength).
