In this article, you will learn how to send a voice message to a React Device via the Customer Portal during an alert.

In order to receive and send voice messages during active alert, you will need a User with Voice License. Please check this article if you like to learn more: How to Enable a Voice License for a User

Steps to Send a Voice Message to a React Device via the Customer Portal During an Active Alert:

  1. Navigate to the Customer Portal (https://portal.reactmobile.com) and login.
  2. Select the "ALERTS" tab on the left hand side of the screen.
  3. Click the active alert which will open a sidebar to the right of the screen.
  4. Once you click the alert, you will join the "Alert Channel" as a responder and you can hear all communications from the alert source device.
    1. The alert source device will become a "Hot Mic". "Hot Mic" can be interrupted periodically to send voice messages to user in need of help.
  5. At the bottom of the sidebar there will be a button that says 'Push to Talk'. Click and hold this button to send a voice message directly to the button, as well as anyone else on that channel.
    1. If the channel is "Busy", it means you can not interrupt the "Hot Mic" during that time. Please wait at least 5 seconds before trying to send a voice message to user in need of help.
