To trigger an alert on the React Device, press the main button five times rapidly. The LED will flash red as the device disconnects from its home channel and joins an alert channel, entering Hot Mic mode for continuous audio transmission. Portal Responders can hear the audio, indicated by a flashing blue and red button. Responders resolve the alert via Portal or Mobile App, after which the LED turns green for five seconds before returning to normal use.

In this article, you will learn how to initiate an alert on the React Device.

  2. The React Device LED will begin flashing RED, indicating the device is in an alert state.
  3. Once the alert is initiated, the device will disconnect from its home channel, then create and join a separate alert channel.

  4. Once in the alert channel, the device enters Hot Mic mode.

  5. During an active alert, Portal Responders can hear all audio from the React Device.

    • When there are responders in an active alert, the button will begin flashing BLUE and RED.

  6. Once Responders confirm the user is safe, they can resolve the alert through the Portal or Mobile Application.

  7. When the alert is resolved, the RED LED will stop flashing and turn GREEN for five seconds. The device will then disconnect from the alert channel, reconnect to its home channel, and return to normal radio use.
