How to Trigger an Alert on the React Device

  1. To initiate an emergency alert, press the main button five times in rapid succession.

  2. This will place the device in an alert state, and the LED will begin flashing RED.

    1. Once the alert is initiated, the device will disconnect from its home channel, create an alert channel, and automatically join it.

  3. Once in the alert channel, the device enters Hot Mic mode.

    1. In this state, you do not need to press and hold the button as audio is transmitted continuously.

  4. During an active alert, Portal Responders can hear all audio from the React device.

    1. When there are responders in the active alert, the button will start flashing BLUE.

  5. The responder can assess the situation and interrupt the Hot Mic to communicate directly with the device.

  6. After the Responders finish speaking, the device will return to Hot Mic mode, allowing them to continue receiving audio.

  7. Continue communicating with Responders and provide updates about the situation.

  8. Once the Responders confirm the user is safe, they can resolve the alert through the Portal or Mobile Application.

  9. After the alert is resolved, the RED LED will stop flashing and turn GREEN for five seconds. The device will then disconnect from the alert channel, reconnect to its home channel, and return to normal radio use.
