The React Mobile Nexus Device supports Firmware Over-The-Air (FOTA) updates, which occur only if the device is connected to Wi-Fi, has a battery above 50%, is charging, and the firmware version differs from the Portal selection. Admins manage firmware in the Customer Portal, defaulting to auto-update. Updates initiate automatically within 1-2 hours or can be forced via a health check, indicated by a flashing green LED during installation.

The React Mobile Nexus Device supports Firmware Over-The-Air (FOTA) updates to ensure devices remain secure and up to date.
Firmware Update Requirements:
A firmware update will occur only when all of the following conditions are met:
The device is connected to Wi-Fi
Battery level is above 50%
The device is connected to a charger
The current device firmware does not match the firmware version selected in the Portal
Firmware Management in the Customer Portal:
Admin users manage firmware versions in the Customer Portal under Settings
By default, firmware selection is set to “Auto-update to latest stable build”.
Once these conditions are met, the React Mobile Nexus Device will automatically initiate the firmware update the next time it checks in (between 1 - 2 hours). The React Mobile logo LED will begin flashing GREEN once the update is initiated. Please allow at least 10 minutes for the update to install, as the React Mobile Nexus Device will need to power cycle once the update is complete.
