When you speak into a channel on the Customer Portal, all React Mobile Nexus Devices registered to that channel or all devices and voice-licensed Portal Users (if "Everyone" is selected) can hear you. During an active alert, the device that triggered it enters a "Hot Mic" state, keeping its microphone open until resolved, allowing surrounding audio to be heard.
In this article, you will learn who can hear you when you speak into a channel on the Customer Portal.
When you speak into a channel on the Customer Portal, the persons that can hear you are:
- All React Mobile Nexus Devices that are registered to the channel you selected, or
- All React Mobile Nexus Devices, and all Portal Users with a voice license, when the Everyone option is selected.
During an active alert, the React Mobile Nexus Device that fired the alert will have its microphone open until the alert is resolved. This is referred to as a 'Hot Mic' state. During this time, all audio surrounding the panic button will be available to hear. For additional information on how to communicate with that button, please reference the article How to Utilize the ‘Hot Mic’ Function on the React Mobile Nexus Device During an Alert.
