In this article, we will review best practices for making sure your React Mobile Nexusis healthy and can fire alerts.

Maintaining healthy panic buttons is critical for keeping your team safe. Here are some best practices we recommend:

  • Charge the Buttons Regularly: Charge your panic buttons daily, preferably at the end of your busiest shift, to ensure they are always fully powered. The LED on the React Mobile Nexus should light up when charging, indicating the button is powered on and ready to use.
  • Handle with Care: To maximize the life of your React Mobile Nexus, avoid dropping the units or submerging them in liquid.
  • Check the Online Portal: On the Portal, under the 'Devices' tab, you can monitor the current health and status of your React Mobile Nexus.

In this example, both React Mobile Nexus are Healthy.

Troubleshooting Steps

If the button appears to be malfunctioning, try these steps:

  1. Power Cycle the Button. To do so, refer to the How to Power-Cycle or Reset the React Mobile Nexus article for assistance.
  2. Charge After Power Cycling. Charge the button following the power cycle and check its health in the portal. Refer to the How to Charge the React Mobile Nexus article for assistance.
  3. Perform a Health Check.
    • To perform a health check, press and hold the side button and immediately tap the main button once. This will also update the "last check-in" time in the Portal for the specific device.
    • For more information, refer to the Performing a Health Check on the React Mobile Nexus article for assistance.

If these steps do not produce an updated health status in the React Mobile Portal, or if the button does not display any light pattern during the health check, please contact your CSM or the Support Team (support@reactmobile.com) for further troubleshooting.
