How to Add and Remove a Channel on the Customer Portal

This article explains how to add and remove Channels on the Customer Portal for Users with a Voice License. Users can add channels via the Channels Tab and assign React Mobile Nexus Devices. ELITE TIER users get a default language channel, while ULTIMATE TIER users must add language groups and assign devices. To delete a channel, remove all assigned devices, delete the language group, then delete the channel.

In this article, you will learn how to add and remove Channels on the Customer Portal.

To access the Channels Tab, you will have to be a User with a Voice License. If you are not a User with a Voice License, please reach out to your Admin about licensing your User. You can follow this link to learn more: Enabling a Voice License for a User.

  1. With a Voice Licensed User, go to the Channels Tab.
  2. Click ADD CHANNEL on the top right corner, enter the channel name, and click CREATE.

  3. For ELITE TIER users, a default language channel will be created.

  4. ULTIMATE TIER users must ADD a language group and assign their React Mobile Nexus Devices to each group.

  5. Once the Channels are created, you can assign React Mobile Nexus Devices to the channels. For more information, please follow this link: How to Assign a React Mobile Nexus to a Channel on the Customer Portal.
  6. To DELETE a channel, you must first remove all React Mobile Nexus Devices assigned to that channel. Click View to see the devices and Remove the devices from the channel individually.

  7. After the devices are removed from the channel, click on the trash can icon for the device language group.

  8. Finally, click the trash can icon next to the channel name to delete the channel.
