In this article, you will learn how to verify daily that your bluetooth button (or sidekick) is paired with the React Mobile Hospitality application on your smart device.

We highly recommend following these steps upon checking out a button each day to make sure your team is protected.

  1. Collect the Smart Device and matching Bluetooth Button. Keep them nearby one another.
  2. Ensure your Bluetooth and Location Service settings on the smart device are both ON.
  3. Launch the React Mobile Hospitality application and wait 15 seconds.
    • First, the application will display "paired & disconnected".
    • In 15 seconds, it will display "paired & connected" and your button will be solid GREEN for 3 seconds.
    • From both the "Home" tab and the "Pair" tabs in the React Mobile Hospitality application you will be able to confirm the button status.Screenshot 2024-08-08 at 10.34.24 AM.png
  4. Press and release the button quickly and verify it gives you the TEAL color. (Do not press and

hold the device, as pressing and holding it for 3 seconds (or rapidly pressing it 3 times) will initiate an alert.) If your button flashes PURPLE, it means the button is not connected to your smart device. Follow steps 1 and 2 again.

  5. Do not turn off or disable device Bluetooth or Location under any circumstances.
  6. Make sure to carry both the Smart Device and Bluetooth button with you throughout the day. If brought out of range from the smart device, the button will automatically repair to the device when brought back in to bluetooth range.
