How to Replace the Battery in a Bluetooth Panic Button (Sidekick)

In this article, you will learn how to change the battery in your Bluetooth button (or sidekick).

Both versions of the Bluetooth buttons require (1) CR2032 watch-style battery. Refer to the respective instructions below depending on the device version you have.

To Replace the Battery in Sidekick Version 1.0:

You will need a small screwdriver to replace the battery on this device.

  1. Use a small screwdriver to remove the screw on the back of the device.
  2. Carefully remove the back of the case and release the dead battery.
  3. When placing the new battery, be careful that it is in properly. You may conduct a health check while the device is open to ensure the battery is set properly.
  4. Close the device and replace the screw tightly.

To Replace the Battery in Sidekick Version 2.0:

No hardware is required to replace the battery on this device.

  1. Simply unscrew the back of the button.
  2. Carefully remove the back of the case and release the dead battery.
  3. When placing the new battery, be careful that it is in properly. You may conduct a health check while the device is open to ensure the battery is set properly.
  4. Close the device and tighten the back of the device securely.
