In this article, you will learn a few helpful tips to make introducing the React Mobile safety platform to your team easier.
Because your safety and security is our highest priority your hotel invested in a panic button system for all colleagues. The React Mobile system has the ability to locate the specific location of a colleague if an alert is triggered on property near a beacon. In the case of an emergency, your internal team will be able to respond and locate a colleague immediately. These buttons are provided and supported by React Mobile.
Below are Speaking Points to Review with and to Train Your Impacted Colleagues
- The system has the ability to pin-point the specific location of a colleague in areas that beacons are present.
- Colleagues must keep their panic button with them throughout day during their scheduled shift.
- Security and the hotel are NOT aware of your location until the panic button is activated. We are not actively and continuously monitoring your location.
- The panic button itself WILL NOT sound an audible alert.
- Please take care with your panic button and keep it dry at all times to prevent any damage.
- If your panic button is lost, stolen or damaged, please report this to your manager immediately.
When Should an Employee Trigger an Alert
- The panic button devices are to be utilized if violent or harassing conduct has occurred. This means conduct such as an assault, sexual contact without consent, indecent exposure, ongoing crime, harassment or an emergency in the colleague’s presence. This could include, yet is not limited to, if you are in danger, attacked, harassed, witnessing a crime, feel threatened, or sustain an injury or an illness that requires immediate, on-site assistance.
- The panic button should ONLY be used for situations that require immediate, on-site assistance. Panic buttons should NOT be used for requesting assistance with completing guest requests or other tasks as assigned.
How to Use the Panic Buttons
- Depending on the type of hardware your property has, this will look different. Please refer to the article How to Trigger an Alert from Your Panic Button for more information.
- Once a panic button is pressed and activated, it will send an audible alert to the Dispatch Center and a text/email to the internal response team which will show where an employee is located within the hotel and will trigger a response.
