In this article, you will learn how to enable the auto-update settings for LTE panic buttons in the Customer Portal.
Users with Admin roles can update settings in the Portal. To change user permissions, refer to the How to Add, Edit and Remove Users article for assistance.
This feature ensures your LTE panic buttons are always running the latest stable build, providing you with the best performance and the latest features.
Enabling "Auto-Update" for LTE Buttons in the Customer Portal
- Navigate to the Customer Portal (https://portal.reactmobile.com) and login as an Admin.
- Select the “SETTINGS” icon in the top right corner of the screen.
- Find the line referencing LTE Buttons. LTE Buttons are listed as WAN Buttons for hardware type and either Peerless or Peerless2 in the Subtype. You may have both types of LTE Buttons.
- Select "Target Version" of the intended device type (Peerless or Peerless2) to expand the dropdown menu.
- On the dropdown menu, select "Auto-Update to Latest Stable Build (Prod)".
- Once selected, select "Apply Changes" at the bottom of your screen to confirm your choice.
- A pop up will appear indicating "Firmware Settings Change," prompting the user to confirm the changes. Select "Apply" to proceed.
- After completing this step, this will enable automatic updates to your Cellular Buttons to the latest stable build as they become available. To force an update on a device, refer to the How to Power Cycle or Reset Your Cellular (LTE) Panic Button article for assistance.
