This feature ensures your beacons are always running the latest stable build, providing you with the best performance and the latest features.

Enabling "Auto-Update" for Beacons in the Customer Portal

  1. Navigate to the Customer Portal (https://portal.reactmobile.com) and login as an Admin.
  2. Select the “SETTINGS” icon in the top right corner of the screen.
  3. If there are any beacons registered to the property (please note: Estimote beacons do not have a firmware type and will not require updating), they will be listed below “Firmware Settings”.
    • Listed in the firmware settings will be a "Hardware Type" (ex. beacons), "Subtype" (ex. type of beacon), and "Target Version".
  4. Select "Target Version" of the intended device type (Beacon) to expand the dropdown menu.
  5. On the dropdown menu, select "Auto-Update to Latest Stable Build (Prod)".
  6. Once selected, select "Apply Changes" at the bottom of your screen to confirm your choice.
  7. A pop up will appear indicating "Firmware Settings Change," prompting the user to confirm the changes. Select "Apply" to proceed.

For a walkthrough of these steps, refer to the video located at the bottom of this article.
