How to Replace the Batteries in a React1 Beacon

In this article, you will learn what is needed and how to replace the batteries in a React1 beacon.

React1 beacons require (2) AAA batteries and you may need double-sided high bondage tape, we recommend 3M branded adhesive tape. 

1. Physically locate the beacon within the property, you can confirm the location of all beacons onsite via the Customer Portal under the "BEACON" tab.
2. To open the beacon, squeeze both sides of the beacon from above and below the React logo emblazoned on the front of the beacon. 
   • If the cover will not come off, adjust the angle and point of pressure. When the correct spot is pressed, the cover will come off easily.
3. Carefully remove the old batteries from the beacon, discard and replace them with (2) new AAA batteries. Ensure the batteries are aligned properly with the battery contacts. 
4. Replace the cover.
5. Verify the beacon is broadcasting via the React Mobile Hospitality application.
