How to Replace the Batteries in an Estimote Beacon

In this article, you will learn what is needed and how to replace the batteries in an Estimote beacon.

Estimote beacons require (2) AA batteries and double-sided high bondage tape, we recommend 3M branded adhesive tape. 

1. Physically locate the beacon within the property, you can confirm the location of all beacons onsite via the Customer Portal under the "BEACON" tab.
2. Remove the beacon from the location. You may find a putty knife to be helpful in this process.
3. Carefully remove the old batteries from the beacon, discard and replace them with (2) new AA batteries.
4. Using new double-sided adhesive tape return the beacon back to its original location. 
5. Verify the beacon is broadcasting via the React Mobile Hospitality application.
