In this article, you will learn how to charge a LTE/Cellular Panic Button and what is needed to do so.

React Mobile Cellular Buttons are powered by rechargeable lithium-ion batteries and can be charged using a standard Micro-USB cable. A full charge from complete depletion may take up to 6 hours.

The battery life of cellular buttons is expected to last 15-20 days when stored in an area with reliable LTE coverage. In areas with poor LTE coverage, the buttons may frequently flash white while searching for a signal, which accelerates battery drain.

At the time of installation, React Mobile provided the team with a charging hub and necessary cables. Each charging hub is capable of charging up to 10 devices simultaneously.

To Charge the LTE or Cellular Panic Button

  1. Ensure the charging port is plugged into an outlet and turned on.
  2. The cellular button must be powered ON to receive a charge; find the on/off switch and the charging port underneath the rubber gasket on the bottom of the device.
  3. One end of the Micro-USB cable gets plugged into the charging block, and the other end of the cable plugs directly into the button. Be sure that the curved side of the plug is facing the correct direction when plugging into the cellular panic button.
  4. When the button is connected to a charger, the LED light indicator on the device will change colors depending on the status:
    • If the LED light pulses yellow, this indicates the device is charging.
    • If the LED light is solid green, this indicates the device is fully charged.
