In this article, you will learn how to remove beacons from the Customer Portal.
Users with Admin and Installer roles can remove beacons in the Portal. To change user permissions, refer to the How to Add, Edit and Remove Users article for assistance.
How to Remove Beacons from the Customer Portal
This process should only be followed if you are no longer using a beacon and do not want its location to be reported during alerts.
- Navigate to the Customer Portal (https://portal.reactmobile.com) and login as an Admin or Installer.
- Select the “BEACONS” tab on the left hand side of the screen.
- Search and select the beacon you wish to remove.
- It is important that you remove the hardware from the room before deleting the location entirely.
- To remove the beacon, there are two optons:
- Select “Remove Beacon From Location” if you are intending to replace the beacon. For more on replacing beacons, refer to the How to Replace a Beacon Using the React Mobile Hospitality Application article for assistance.
- Select “Remove Location From Property” if you do not intend to use a beacon in that location in the future.
- When the confirmation dialog appears, if you have finished removing the hardware from the room, select “Confirm."
- Refresh your screen and confirm the beacon has been removed from the Portal.
