To set up language in the React Mobile portal, sign in and ensure you have an active voice license. Click the drop-down menu near your profile, select your preferred language (English, Spanish, or French), then choose your communication channel. Activation is confirmed when the Push-to-Talk button turns teal green. Incoming voice messages play first in the sender's language, then translated. Reply by pressing Push-to-Talk; your message is automatically translated for recipients.

Prerequisites Before you begin, make sure you are signed into the React Mobile portal and have an active voice license assigned to your account.

  1. Locate the Drop-Down Menu: Look at the top right corner of your screen, directly next to your profile avatar.

       2. Open the Menu: Click the drop-down arrow to open the language settings.

       3. Select Your Language: Choose your preferred language from the currently available options:

  • EN (English)

  • ES (Español)

  • FR (French)

    4. Choose Your Channel: Select the specific communication channel you would like to be on.

    5. Verify Activation: Once you select a channel, the Push-to-Talk button next to it will turn a teal green color. This indicates that the feature is active and ready to use.

    How the Communication Works

  • Receiving Messages: Once your language is selected, all written content in the portal will be translated into your choice. When an incoming voice message comes through, you will first hear it in the sender's original spoken language, followed immediately by a translated version in your chosen language.

  • Replying to Messages: To reply, simply press the teal green Push-to-Talk button and speak. The person in the channel will automatically hear your message translated into the language they have programmed on their Nexus device.
