How to Confirm Current Connection Status on the React Device

In this article, you will learn how to confirm the current connection status on the React Device.

There are 2 ways to confirm the current connection status of a React Device: by performing a Health Check, or by logging on to the online Portal.

Health Check:

During the health check, the device LED will display different colors based on the battery level and current connection status.

To complete a health check, press and hold the side (function) button and immediately tap the main (primary) button once, then quickly release both.

Once a health check is initiated, the backlit React Mobile logo is going to flash two series of colors to indicate different health metrics:

Phase 1 - Battery Level

• Battery level is indicated by the LED, which will flash once: 
  • GREEN - more than 40% charge.
  • YELLOW - more than 20% but less than 40% charge.
  • RED - less than 20% charge.
• The battery lasts approximately 10 hours under normal usage. Repeatedly triggering alerts for test purposes and/or storing the devices in areas with low LTE/Wi-Fi coverage will drain the battery quicker.
   

Phase 2 - Network Coverage

• FLASHING GREEN – The device is connected to Wi-Fi (1 to 4 flashes depending on Signal Strength).
• FLASHING BLUE – The device is connected to LTE/Cellular (1 to 4 flashes depending on Signal Strength).​

• FLASHING PURPLE – If the device is not registered to an organization and the Health Check fails.

From the Online Portal:

You can monitor which type of network your buttons are connected to from the online Portal under the 'Devices' tab.

In the example above, the signal/reception bars next to device 'React 0001' indicate the device is connected to LTE/Cellular. The curved arch bars next to device 'React 0002' indicate the device is connected to Wi-Fi.
