This article explains how to connect a React Mobile Nexus Device to Wi-Fi via the online Portal with Admin access. After logging in, add Wi-Fi networks by entering the exact SSID and password. The device supports hidden and open networks but requires single-password networks without secondary sign-in. Devices will connect on check-in or via a manual health check, indicated by LED colors: green for Wi-Fi and blue for LTE.

In this article, you will learn how to connect to a Wi-Fi network on the React Mobile Nexus Device.

You will need Admin permissions for the online Portal to access the Wi-Fi settings. You can follow this link if you would like to know more about How to Access the React Mobile Customer Portal.

  1. Login to the Portal as an Admin and select the "Settings" option on the top-right corner of the screen.

  2. Find the section for "Wi-Fi Networks" and select "Add Wi-Fi". You can add multiple networks at once for your property.

  3. Enter the SSID and Password for the SSID. The SSID must match the network name exactly, including letter casing and spaces.

Note: Hidden and Open networks are supported.

The Wi-Fi network used by the buttons must be single-password and with no secondary sign-in splash page or username/password enterprise network.

The next time your devices check in with the Portal, they will attempt to connect to the added network if it is available. Alternatively, you can manually health check the device to check the connection:

  • Health check: Press and hold the side (function) button and immediately tap the main (primary) button once, then quickly release both.

  • If the connection switches from LTE to Wi-Fi or vice versa, there will be a solid blue LED for 4 seconds.

  • Once the connection is established, the device LED will flash green to indicate it is connected to Wi-Fi, or blue for LTE/Cellular during the health check.
