How to Assign a React Mobile Nexus Device to a Channel on the Customer Portal

This article explains how to assign a React Mobile Nexus Device to a channel on the Customer Portal. Users need a Voice License to access the Channels Tab. After creating or selecting a channel, users can view the channel group, add devices from the available list, and assign them. Each device can have only one home channel at a time and can be moved using the same process.

To access the Channels Tab, you will have to be a User with a Voice License. If you are not a User with a Voice License, please reach out to your Admin about licensing your User. You can follow this link to learn more: Enabling a Voice License for a User.

  1. With a Voice Licensed User, go to the Channels Tab.
    • If you currently do not have a channel created, create a channel to assign your React Mobile Nexus Devices to.
  2. Click "View" next to the Channel Group you would like to add your button to. This will show you the list of Devices that are already in the channel.

  3. Select Add Devices.

  4. From the list of available devices, select the device/s you would like to add to the channel and press "Add Selected".

  5. Your device will be ready to send and receive voice messages from this channel.
  6. Please note that a React Mobile Nexus Device can only have one home channel at a time. You can also move a device following the same steps.
