How to Send a Voice Message to Responders via the Portal During an Active Alert

This article explains how to send a voice message to Responders via the Customer Portal during an active alert. Users must log in at https://portal.reactmobile.com, select the Alerts tab, click the active alert, then press and hold the "Push to Talk" button in the sidebar to communicate. If the channel is busy, wait at least 5 seconds before retrying.

Steps to Send a Voice Message to a Responders via the Customer Portal During an Active Alert:

  1. Navigate to the Customer Portal (https://portal.reactmobile.com) and login.
  2. Select the Alerts tab on the left hand side of the screen.
  3. Click the active alert, which will open a sidebar to the right of the screen.
  4. At the bottom of the sidebar there will be a button that says 'Push to Talk'. Click and hold this button to send a voice message directly to the alert source button, as well as anyone else currently on the alert channel, or Responders.
    • If the channel is "Busy", it means you cannot interrupt the "Hot Mic" during that time. Please wait at least 5 seconds before trying to send another voice message to the user in need of help.
