In this article, you will learn how to activate a health check on the Bluetooth (sidekick) panic button.

Performing a health check will allow you to quickly assess whether or not the panic button is paired to a smart device.

In order to complete the health check, press the button in the middle of the device 1 time. Do not hold the button or it will trigger an alert. By pressing the button once, this also updates the “last check-in” time in the Portal for the particular device.

When the device is pressed, it will illuminate the LED either purple or aqua. Purple indicates the button is not paired or in range, whereas aqua indicates the device is paired and working.
