In this article, you will learn how to activate a health check on the LoRa watch panic button.

Activating a health check from the LoRa device will update the "last check-in" column in the Portal. Since the battery and network status metrics are visible on the LoRa screen, the health check will primarily serve as an indicator of signal strength in the area that the health check was triggered.

To trigger the health check, press the red side button one time while the screen is off. Observe the 'network-globe' icon that display LoRa network connectivity. After a few seconds, a data transmission  (two arrows pointing in opposite directions) will briefly replace the globe icon. This indicates packets being sent and received. Check the Customer Portal to see the updated "Last check-in" column value.

It is important to note; for a button to reflect a "Healthy" status in the Customer Portal, it has to have:

  • The most up-to-date firmware.
  • Over 40% battery.
  • AND the last check in must be within the last 2 hours.
