In this article, we will explain the logos displayed on the LoRa panic button home screen.

  1. Date: the date is obtained from the server setting in the Portal. If this is incorrect, please reach out to your React Mobile representative.
  2. LoRa Network: the globe icon indicates the presence of the LoRa network, i.e. the button has or recently had connectivity to a LoRa Gateway.
  3. Bluetooth: the Bluetooth icon indicates the Bluetooth module is functioning properly. This is necessary to scan and report Bluetooth beacons in the event of an active alert and during passive beacon scanning.
  4. GPS: the satellite icon indicates the proper function of the GPS module. When it displays light gray the device has not locked on to a satellite position and needs a clearer view of the sky. If the satellite icon displays bright white this indicates a satellite lock and will report the GPS location during an active alert.
  5. Front Button: press the front button 5 times to access the menu. Use it to select menu settings within the menu. Additionally, to power cycle the device, press and hold the Side Button (Up) and press the Front Button 5 times (while holding down the Side Button).
  6. Battery: the battery icon indicates the exact battery percentage. The icon will also show a charging animation when plugged in to power.
  7. Side Button (Up): the top side button has two uses. One is for the power cycle function: press and hold the top side button while tapping the front button quickly 5 times. Additionally, when the top side button is pressed once, it will scan for Bluetooth beacons nearby and upload the data to the Portal, updating the 'Last Seen' column for the Bluetooth beacons that have been scanned. In the menu, use this button to navigate 'Up'.
  8. Time: the time is determined by the setting in the Portal for each property. If the time is incorrect at your location, please reach out to your React Mobile representative.
  9. Side Button (Down): the red side button is the alert activation button. Press and hold it down for 5 seconds or press it rapidly 5 times to initiate an alert from the device. While there is no alert on the device and the screen is off, pressing this button once will initiate a Health Check, updating the battery level, signal strength, and last check-in time in the Portal. In the menu, use this button to navigate 'Down'.
  10. Device Name: the device name can be edited through the Customer Portal. There is a limit of ~14 characters to avoid text occlusion on the sides of the screen. When the name of the device is changed in the Portal, the Device Name on the screen will update during the next check-in, automatic or manual.
