In this article, we review how to register a LoRa panic Button using the Mobile Application via Proximity Scanner. This process can only be completed on Android devices at this time. The iOS application is pending approval.
Users with Admin roles can register a LoRa panic button. To change user permissions, refer to the How to Add, Edit and Remove Users article for assistance.
Steps to Register a LoRa Panic Button via Proximity Scanning on Android:
- Login to the React Mobile Hospitality application from an Android smart device as an Admin.
- Verify that Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device settings and enabled on the React Mobile Hospitality Application before continuing.
- From the home page, navigate to the "Scanner" tab at the bottom of the screen.
- Select “Show Buttons" at the top left corner of the screen.
- Select “All Buttons” (shown as a bubble) at the bottom of the screen.
.
6. Change your view to see “Unregistered Buttons” at the bottom of the screen.
7. There are two methods for registering LoRa devices from this screen:
a) Individual Registering
1. Review the list of unregistered devices. (Devices closer in proximity will appear higher on the list.)
2. Select the specific button you want to register.
3. Under Device Name, enter the desired name. This name will be used to identify the device when sending alerts.
4. Tap Register.
5. Once the registration completes (user will receive a prompt confirming device is registered), confirm the device was enrolled successfully in the Property’s Portal under Devices.
b. Batch Registering
1. Tap Register all, located at the top right corner of your screen.
2. When prompted, choose a prefix name for the group of devices you are registering.
3. Select Register All.
4. After batch registration finishes, confirm the devices were enrolled successfully in the Property’s Portal under Devices. (Device will show as [prefix 0000])
7. Confirm Registration in the Properties Portal (https://portal.reactmobile.com). Navigate to the Devices tab to confirm that the newly registered LoRa Button appears in the list.
Troubleshooting & Tips
- Proximity Accuracy: If you don’t see the button you’re looking for, ensure you are physically close to the device and refresh the list.
- Naming Convention: Using a clear naming scheme (e.g., “ReactMobile1,” “Security2”) helps you organize and identify devices.
- Permission Errors: Double-check you are logged in with Admin credentials if you are unable to register devices.
- Portal Sync Issues: If devices do not show in the Property’s Portal immediately, allow a few minutes for synchronization or refresh the page.
