In this article, we review how to register a LoRa panic Button using the Mobile Application via Scan to Register. This process can be completed on both iOS and Android devices.
Users with Admin roles can register a LoRa panic button. To change user permissions, refer to the How to Add, Edit and Remove Users article for assistance.
Steps to Register a LoRa Panic Button via Scan to Register:
- Login to the React Mobile Hospitality application from a smart device as an Admin.
- Verify that Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device settings and enabled on the React Mobile Hospitality Application before continuing.
- From the home page, navigate to the "INFO" tab at the bottom of the screen.
- Select “Scan LoRa Devices.”
- Enter the LoRa Device ID or DEVEUI. Ensure the ID is accurate to avoid errors. Refer to the How to Find LoRa Device ID article for assistance.
6. Input the Device Name. Under the Device Name field, type in the desired name for the user’s LoRa Button. This is the friendly name that will show in the Portal.
7. Select "Register Button" to complete the registration process. Wait for the app to confirm that the device registration request was received.
8. Confirm Registration in the Properties Portal (https://portal.reactmobile.com). Navigate to the Devices tab to confirm that the newly registered LoRa Button appears in the list.
Troubleshooting & Tips
- Device is still connecting: Go to Menu again (tap the screen 5 times), move down to LoRa Region by pressing the red button, tap the screen button while US915 is highlighted.
- Device ID Invalid: Double-check that the LoRa Device ID or DEVEUI is entered correctly or that it is not already registered to another property (there will be an error code prompt for this, if so)
- Access Issues: Verify that you have the correct Admin credentials if you encounter any permission errors.
