What Happens if Our Lora Gateway Becomes Disconnected?

In this article, we review what steps to take should your LoRa gateway become disconnected.

You can find the Gateway health under the Gateways tab in the Portal. We suggest checking the Portal daily for Gateway health. Should a unit be detected as offline, a member of the support team will reach out to you as well.

The first steps will be to unplug the power, wait for 30 seconds and plug the unit back in. There are 3 lights that indicate the gateway is working Status, Power, and Lora. All three must be on to validate connection.

If a power reset does not reconnect the gateway, the Support Team will continue to troubleshoot as needed.

Do note, when a gateway is down there is a loss of coverage within proximity to where it is installed, and the panic buttons will not be able to make a connection to fire an alert.
