The first step to installing the fob is deciding how to orient the device. If the fob is installed on the "12 o'clock" side, the screen will be facing right side up with the fob on top. If the devices are to be carried on lanyards or key chains, it is recommended to install the fob on the "6 o'clock" side so that when the user flips the device up, it will be right side up from their perspective.

Attaching the fob to the body of the LoRa device:

  1. Set the LoRa device face down on a clean work surface so as not to damage the screen.
  2. Hold down one end of the spring bar with a fingertip.
  3. Insert the other end of the spring bar into the post hole.
  4. Slide the first end onto the other side, transferring the pressure of the spring to the body of the device.
  5. Adjust the bar so that it slots into the post hole. The fob should not come out from wiggling or pulling.

Removing the fob from the body of a LoRa device:

It is highly recommended to purchase a watch band removal tool such as this one from Amazon for the removal of any fob.

  1. With one hand, pull the rubber away from one end of the spring bar, exposing the end of the post.
  2. Use the forked end of the removal tool to pry the end of the bar out of the slot.
  3. Once the end of the spring bar is out of the hole, pull the rest of the fob away from the body and it should come out easily.
