In this article, we will review best practices for maintaining your cellular (LTE) panic buttons.

Maintaining healthy panic buttons is critical for keeping your team safe. Here are some best practices we recommend:

  • Charge the Buttons Regularly: Charge your panic buttons daily, preferably at the end of your busiest shift, to ensure they are always fully powered.
  • Handle with Care:
    • Gently insert and remove the USB cable from the unit when charging.
    • Avoid dropping the units or submerging them in any liquid.

Troubleshooting Steps

If the button appears to be malfunctioning, try these steps:

  1. Power Cycle the Button. To do so, refer to the How to Power Cycle or Reset Your Cellular (LTE) Panic Button article for assistance.

  2. Charge After Power Cycling. Charge the button following the power cycle and check its health in the portal. Ensure the device is in the ON position while charging. Refer to the How to Charge the LTE/Cellular Panic Button article for assistance.

  3. Perform a Health Check.

If these steps do not produce an updated health status in the React Mobile Portal, or if the button does not display any light pattern during the health check, please contact your CSM or Support Team (support@reactmobile.com) for further troubleshooting.
