The React Mobile platform can be integrated with third-party systems, such as Amadeus HotSOS. During an alert, React Mobile will query the HotSOS Housekeeping live operating system and provide the user name and current room assigned to the employee. Relying on the interface to provide the alert location details eliminates the need for beacons, and it also provides the specific user name from HotSOS, rather than a device name. Since staff will be carrying smart devices to utilize HotSOS, React Mobile offers a small Bluetooth Panic Button option we call the Sidekick, which when paired to the smart device can fire an alert remotely.
Once the interface has been created, there are several components that need to be configured and successfully tested prior to launching the system:
- Smart Devices
- Bluetooth Sidekick Panic Buttons
- Access to HotSOS Housekeeping and React Mobile Desktop Websites
Smart Devices
- All smart devices must be configured with the most recent version of the React Mobile Hospitality application and the HotSOS Mobile app, with the devices registered in HotSOS.
- Hotel Staff will need to carry a smart device and a paired Sidekick when entering guest areas.
- The React Mobile app needs to up and running in the background of the smart device in order to fire an alert from the Sidekick.
- The smart device must have an active Wi-Fi connection to activate an alert.
- For assistance with configuring devices, see:
- Confirming Device Names in HotSOS > coming soon!
Sidekicks - Bluetooth Panic Buttons
- When a Bluetooth Sidekick Panic Button is paired with a smart device, an alert may be initiated from the React Mobile app discreetly, without having to open up the smart device to find the application during an emergency.
- A Bluetooth Panic Button will be paired with each smart device and labeled to match; they should always be issued together.
- For assistance with setting up, maintaining and troubleshooting the Sidekick, see Bluetooth Sidekick Panic Button Operations Guide.
