Unregistered cellular button indicator - what does purple flash mean?

When a button has not yet been registered to a property, none of its features will operate as expected. For this reason, the light will flash purple to indicate that it needs to be configured.

If the alert is fired from the button, it will NOT go through to any portal or database until it is properly registered to a property. See How to Register Cellular Buttons
